qualification and experience

Specific characteristics we are looking for:

  • Already have a taste for communications; so, about 2 – 3 years experience
  • Experience managing qualitative and quantitative data; knowing how to work with Simmons is a huge advantage
  • If you speak Spanish that’s awesome, but not an absolute requirement
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (but it doesn’t have to be in that oversized frame)

Promotions Manager (NY & CA)

The Promotions Manager will develop solutions that enhance our client's brand identities and promotion strategies, and work on affiliate marketing programs for a variety of national consumer products, services and retailers. Responsible for Project & Budget Management for a variety of consumer promotions, including sweepstakes, events, sampling, premiums, POS, direct mail and on-line, this individual will report directly to the VP/Promotions Director. A detailed Development Plan will be customized to effect learning and advancement in the role, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

qualification and experience

Refined understanding of marketing / promotion procedures, superior verbal and written skills, time management, computer literacy, strong organizational skills, high energy level, ability to juggle several tasks / projects simultaneously. Ability to motivate, develop, manage, lead, support, create, collaborate, inspire, reward and succeed. The candidate needs to have had solid experience (3+ years) working on promotions. The ideal candidate will be bilingual/bicultural (Spanish/English) and will have a successful track record at a full-service promotions agency or department. We seek a superb communicator who is organized, dynamic and ambitious. BA in marketing or related field.

Account Executive (NY)

The Account Executive builds expertise on a brand’s competitive landscape and a specific facet of the client’s business. Understands appropriate research techniques for strategy, creative and media needs. Develops in-depth business reporting (share, volume, sales, ect) and comprehensive competitive advertising/marketing analyses. Secures approval of production estimates, And oversees production budgets. Prepares and stewards production plans and timelines. Develops media briefs and oversees plan development, execution and follow-up. Collaborates with Strategic Planning to develop/execute research initiatives. Evaluates creative work and provides feedback for revisions, as needed. Initiates, presents and completes value-added projects. Writes contact reports and other materials. Day to day account management tasks including client contact, shipping and tracking materials as needed; generate internal/external correspondence, status reports, budget control sheets, research updates. Work closely with Account Management staff in identifying and recognizing superior advertising ideas. Helps train and develop AAEs.

Qualification and Experience

Individual must possess minimum 3 years in an advertising agency, account management. Be bilingual//bicultural (English/Spanish). Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field. Must have strong organizational and presentation skills.

Forsees and identifies opportunities and formulates plans to manage and exploit them to drive/extend the business. Ensures overall quality of work on their accounts. Acts as a resource to team members in assessing ideas and directions. Facilitates own and other’s ideas from development to presentation to execution. Coaches, involves, and inspires the growth and development of junior agency staff. Reaches beyond their scope of work and seeks input from untraditional sources.

qualifications and experience

Bachelor degree in related field preferred. The account Director will have a minimum of 7-10 years advertising agency experience including, 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish. Bicultural preferred. Must have knowledge of word, power point and excel.
